It's the worldwide web surely, why do I need a friendly local web-designer to help me? What difference will it make to me if my website is made with somebody from Eccleshall, or a robot from China? Well, that's a bit extreme of course, I'd be in the wrong business if I didn't embrace technology, but there are a couple of things to consider:
1: There is just nothing quite like picking up the phone and speaking to a real human being who helps you get your new website up and running. If you try and use a website builder yourself and you struggle, you'll end up pulling your hair out. Knowing there's a local website person, a real human being covering Stone, Stafford, Eccleshall and the surrounding areas is comforting for good reason: Many are the times I've visited my clients, gone for a coffee or popped in for a chat to show them something or explain something. When you're setting out on your journey into the WWW, that's solid gold.
2: Local knowledge, knowing the area, the culture, the language and your customers! Let's say you do manage to get some e-mail support for a contact-centre somewhere in the world. Do they really understand you and your business? It's a vital part of your entire experience; to be understood. Tech genuises aren't always the most personable, customer-focussed people. Having a local person to hand who understands the area, listens to and cares about you and your business is impossible to put a value on. It changes the whole experience from one of stress, isolation and anxiety to what it should be: somebody lifting a weight from your shoulders and filling you with confidence.
